Ella’s Rocking Horse

 

With the birth of our first grandchild Ella McDermott, I wanted to carve her something that would give her years of enjoyment, something that she would be able to pass down to another generation.  After lots of research I decided that I would carve a rocking horse!  It is 34″ tall and is carved from cherry, with ash rockers.  The saddle is embossed with Ella’s name, her date of birth, and a shamrock medallion.

It was gift for her first birthday!  Now that  Ella is outgrowing her rocking horse, her younger brother Owen is beginning to enjoy it!
